SOUTH AFRICA - A 22-year-old woman from Australia survived to recount her fall into a crocodile-infested river when her bungee cord snapped.

It was a 365-foot fall. A friend captured the fall from the bridge over South Africa's Zambezi River where Erin Langworthy jumped Dec. 31.

Langworthy hit the water headfirst and blacked out. She came to in time to free herself from the cord still attached to her legs before going over the river rapids.

She suffered a broken collar bone, abrasions, bruising and lung damage which has forced her to stay in South Africa until she's well enough to travel, according to her interview with ABC's Good Morning America.

The bungee-jumping company, Shearwater Victoria Falls, says it was investigating the cause of the cord failure and had put in new bungee cords.
