
Hatchet attack on city worker on Stallings Dr. in south Sacramento.
SACRAMENTO, CA - The suspect who allegedly attacked city workers and barricaded himself inside a home was taken into arrested Tuesday afternoon.
Kaartik Narayan, 25, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest outside of his home by a K9 and officers, Sacramento police said.

Narayan is accused of approaching a Sacramento City vehicle, parked on the 7500 block of Rock Creek Way and smashing out the driver's side window with a hatchet. Police said Narayan then fled to his home on the 7500 block of Stallings Drive.
SWAT, Hostage Negotiation Teams and Narayan were in a standoff for several hours before he attempted to run from police through the backside of his home, police said.
Narayan was taken into custody behind his home by SWAT and a K9 unit.
