PLACERVILLE, CA - A Placerville school maintenance worker found guilty of fatally shooting his school's principal last year has been sentenced 50 years to life in prison.
In April, an El Dorado County Superior Court jury convicted John Luebbers of the first degree murder of Sam LaCara on Feb. 2, 2011. LaCara was principal of Louisiana Schnell Elementary School.
Luebbers shot LaCara in his school office after an employment-related dispute.
