SACRAMENTO, CA - Sacramento police arrested a parolee at-large after a three hour standoff in a North Sacramento neighborhood Thursday afternoon.

Sacramento S.W.A.T. served a warrant on the 4700 block of Dry Creek Road, near Bell Avenue, at the suspect's residence around 1:30 p.m., police spokesperson Laura Peck said.

Officers saw the suspect look out his window and then he refused to come out of his home. Fortunately, no one else was in the home during the time of the standoff.

After 4 p.m., S.W.A.T. threw gas into his home to force the suspect to come out, and then arrested him.

Peck said the suspect had multiple outstanding warrants.

It is normal for S.W.A.T. to serve warrants, Peck said.
